Spirax Sarco Y-Type Pipe Strainers

Y strainers are the most commonly used type of Steam Strainer. The Y-type strainer gets its name from its shape, which resembles the letter Y. A great solution for steam systems, Y Strainers are able to handle high pressures, typically between 250 psi to 400 psi, with certain models going higher, like our carbon steel y strainer which can withstand a maximum allowable pressure of more than 1400 psi.

Standard Y strainers are available in Stainless Steel, Bronze, Carbon Steel, and Cast Iron, with specialty materials available upon request.
