Hello and welcome to the Cooney Brothers How To Video Series. In this video we will cover how to use the My Saved Carts feature on the website.
The Cooney Brothers website allows you to Save Carts. This feature is an easy way to create a stored shopping cart, one you can even share with members of your organization for collaboration.
After adding items to your cart that you wish to save, go to the Check Out page. There you can click on the button labeled Save Cart found at the top or bottom of the page.
Immediately you will be prompted for a name. Type it in and hit Enter. You will see a red confirmation pop-up that the cart saved successfully. **You can add additional items to saved carts, later, following this same process, but when prompted for a name, select a saved cart from the list below.
At this point, you can continue the checkout process, or view your Saved Cart, by navigating from the My Account Menu and selecting My Saved Carts. There you will see a bulleted list of all your saved Carts, including those shared with you.
Ordering from your Saved Cart is a breeze. You can easily update the Quantity for each item you want to buy, select the lines you need (or hit the Select All button to add all items) and click the Add Selected items to Cart button. From there, you can either continue shopping or proceed to checkout.
You can also edit your Cart from this screen. You can change the default quantity by adjusting the number and hitting the Update link directly below. And you can remove items from the list by clicking on the red X to the right of each line.
Also, you can modify the list as a whole - You can also change the name of the list by hitting the Edit Cart Namebutton which will change the list title into an editable text field. Or you can delete the entire Cart.
If you have a large cart, there are controls at the top of each page to make finding the items you need easier. You can adjust the number of parts shown per page, and you can sort by part number, both the manufacturer's and Cooney Brothers'. You can also use the search box in the upper left. This function will always search the product descriptions which are shown by default. You can change your view to exclude them by selecting the Collapse View option from the drop down box on the top right of the table, which will simplify your view.
Another helpful function of this feature is the ability to Send and Email carts. You can share carts with other users within your organization by using the Send to Colleague feature in the upper right, which will prompt you to enter part of a colleague's email address.
You can also choose to email a cart to someone outside of your organization, for example a contractor. Note that when you email a cart, pricing will not be included.
