CPVC Pipe Fittings
Filter
CPVC Pipe Fittings are thermoplastic pipe fittings made from chlorinated polyvinyl chloride. Essentially, they are composed the same as PVC Fittings, but with a higher chlorine percentage due to their additional chlorine atoms. They are a top choice for a multitude of residential, commercial, and industrial applications because they are durable, bendable, recyclable, and they are built to last through many kinds of extreme working conditions.
CPVC Fittings are often the more dependable, effective choice over fittings that use other materials because CPVC is resistant to corrosion, harmful chemicals, fire, extreme temperatures, high pressures, and harsh weather. These fittings can withstand working temperatures up to 200° Fahrenheit and they have low levels of heat loss, meaning they are able to reliably retain the high temperatures of many thermal applications as well as save a considerable amount of energy.
The smooth surface of CPVC material promotes a frictionless, efficient flow that is both low in pressure loss and safe from built-up sediment, allowing CPVC fittings to house clean, bacteria-free water that is better quality and more free-flowing than water found in metal pipe fittings. Without the ability to rust, CPVC fittings are also safe from emitting dangerous contaminants like lead or chromium. The high tensile strength, flexibility, and lightweight design of CPVC fittings promote operations that will not crack under high pressure or experience leaks, breakage, or damage. These beneficial qualities ensure that these fittings have low installation, transportation, maintenance, and repair requirements, making CPVC fittings more effective, long lasting, and cost-efficient than most metal fittings.
Since CPVC Pipe and fittings are so efficient and strong, they are recommended for use in a large range of applications, especially those that use hot corrosive fluids and industrial chemicals. CPVC fittings can support hot and cold potable water systems in residential buildings as well as low maintenance water supply piping systems for commercial buildings. They are also well suited for HVAC systems including radiant floor heating, central heating, and solar heating applications. CPVC fittings are commonly used in the steam lines and chemical feed systems of many industrial applications, such as chemical plants, wastewater treatment plants, power generation, irrigation systems, and fire fighting systems.
