PVC Pipe Fittings

PVC Pipe Fittings are thermoplastic pipe fittings made from polyvinyl chloride. They are extremely durable, flexible and recyclable, and they are built to be long-lasting even through harsh working conditions. PVC Fittings are the harder, more impact-resistant alternative to CPVC Fittings. This makes PVC fittings a top choice for a range of residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
PVC Fittings have a multitude of advantages over pipe fittings that use other materials. PVC fittings are built to withstand corrosion, a slew of abrasive chemicals, fire, moderately high temperatures, high pressures, and extreme weather conditions. While these fittings don’t resist fire as well and they have a lower maximum operating temperature than CPVC fittings, PVC fittings can still withstand temperatures up to 140° Fahrenheit and they change colors when temperatures get too high. This feature allows you to know exactly when to stop operations to protect the air from burning toxins. PVC fittings also have insulation capabilities, so the high temperatures of fluids can be maintained as they flow. These qualities make PVC fittings a perfect choice for applications that require sustained moderately high levels of heat.
The smooth PVC surface of these fittings protect the flow from pressure loss and from built-up sediment that could cause clogs or blockages. Without the ability to rust like with metal fittings, PVC is also safe from emitting dangerous contaminants like lead or chromium. The lightweight, flexible PVC material is built to last. It has high tensile strength, and it will not crack under high pressure, ensuring that these fittings are less prone to breakage, damage, and leaks. These advantageous features make PVC fittings easier and cheaper to transport, install, maintain, and repair than metal fittings.
PVC Pipe and fittings can be paired with an array of water, gas, oil, and chemical systems because of their extreme durability and safe flow efficiency. This efficiency is especially beneficial to applications that require high flow rates or long-distances of flow which is especially common in industrial processes. Some of these processes include power generation, chemical plants, water distribution, waste and wastewater management, irrigation, agriculture, sewage, and drainage systems. PVC is also well paired with many residential and commercial applications like cold water lines, venting systems, HVAC systems, electrical conduits, and fire sprinklers.
