Crane Center Line Resilient Seated Butterfly Valves

Crane’s Center Line® has been a leader in high-quality, quarter-turn butterfly valves for more than 40 years that exceed industry standards and customer expectations. These valves provide a positive shutoff bi-directionally with direct mount automation, so they are often a top choice for reliable on/off and throttling control. Their unique seat, disc, bushing, and single-piece stem design ensures efficient sealing with even distributions and low seating torque. Center Line Butterfly Valves are designed for use in gas and liquid services in a wide range of applications including HVAC, chemical/petrochemical processing, food and beverage, power and utilities, and pulp and paper.

Crane’s Series 200 Center Line Butterfly Valves make up our entire inventory of Crane Butterfly Valves, along with Crane Flowseal Butterfly Valves. The 200 Series are all made from Ductile Iron with an Epoxy Powder Coated finish. Available on our site from 2” to 18” in nominal size, Crane makes these valves up to 72” so larger sizes may be available. Our selection is all lug-style for DES (Dead End Service) and comes with either a 10-position lever handle or a gear operator, but Crane also designs Centerline Wafer Style Butterfly Valves as well as Center Line Valves with electric actuators and pneumatic actuators. The three-bushing design of Center Line Resilient Seated Butterfly Valves fully isolates the shaft from the body to provide more disc control, and the valve’s precision profile disc provides a bubble-tight shut off with an accurately consistent disc-to-seat relationship. The PFTE bushings and Aluminum bronze or 316 Stainless Steel disc also promote a lower seating torque and extended service life. The seats of Series 200 Butterly Valves are made from either Buna-N material for most general services or EPDM material for general services with higher temperature requirements. The design of these valves also features other precision-machined parts like Phenolic or Aluminum backed seats, taper pins, O-Rings, and smooth finished disc flats that all contribute to a positive, leak-free, and vibration-proof seal.
