Ward Manufacturing Has Been Discontinued

Ward Manufacturing was acquired by ASC Engineered Solutions in February 2025: 

“ASC Engineered Solutions (“ASC”), a leading provider of flow management solutions, including precision engineered pipe joining systems, flow control products, support solutions and related services, announced today that it has acquired Ward Manufacturing (“Ward”) from Proterial America, Ltd., a subsidiary of Proterial, Ltd. Ward is a leader in the manufacturing of pipe joining components including fittings, nipples and the WARDFlex® corrugated stainless steel tubing system.”

As of October 1, 2025, Ward Manufacturing’s portfolio will be fully integrated into the ASC ERP platform and distribution centers in the United States as Anvil or ASC branded products.

In response, Cooney Brothers will be offering the direct ASC replacements for all the discontinued Ward part numbers, when available. On the Cooney Brothers website, all discontinued Ward items will be redirected to the new ASC replacements. Ward part numbers will be referenced on the ASC product pages.

Why is Ward Being Discontinued?

On Feb 24, 2025, ASC announced that they would be closing the Ward Manufacturing foundry and facilities in Blossburg PA and transitioning Ward Manufacturing products to the ASC brand: 

“ASC Engineered Solutions recently made the difficult decision to pursue a sale of our foundry and facilities in Blossburg, PA which manufactures and supports the legacy Ward product line. In anticipation of a sale, we will begin transitioning production from Blossburg to our Columbia, PA plant.”

What This Means:

• Products previously branded as Ward Manufacturing will transition to the ASC brand (not WardFlex)
• Ward fittings are transitioning to the ASC Anvil brand
• Ward pipe nipples are transitioning to the ASC Anvil (domestic) and SCI (import) brands
• Labels will include both the Ward Manufacturing UPC and part number as well as the equivalent ASC Engineered Solutions UPC and part number
• Product literature and marketing materials will be updated to reflect ASC Engineered Solutions’ corporate branding, look and feel.
• Packaging will transition to ASC Engineered Solutions branded containers, labeling and box quantities.
• All references for Ward Manufacturing products or Anvil products shall now be considered the same as ASC Engineered Solutions.
• Newly aligned pricing for these new products has gone into effect on July 21, 2025
