ThermOmegaTech® Scald Protection Valve, Interchangeable Cartridge, Series: IC/SP, Activates at: 110 deg F Open/100 deg F Close, 3/4 in Inlet, 3.53 in Length, 1.4 in Diameter, Brass, Model 3/4 IC/SP-110
IC/SP interchangeable cartridge style thermostatic Scald Protection Valve protects facility personnel from excessively hot temperatures being released from safety showers, facewash and eyewash stations. The IC/SP valve should be installed within the heated system and is purely water temperature sensing. The valve will initiate flow when the thermostatic actuator senses water temperature above the valve's set point (typically 98 deg F [36.7 deg C]) and will remain open as long as the discharge water temperature is within 10 deg F of the open set point (typically above 95 deg F [35 deg C]). The thermal actuator is always wetted, making this valve preferable for heat traced lines where scald protection flow is not required unless heat tracing fails.
