What is a ThermaOmegaTech STVM Washdown Station? 

The STVM Steam and Water Washdown Station, also known as the Silent Type Venturi Mixing Washdown Station or simply as a mixing unit station, is an efficient cleaning system designed for cleaning and sanitizing industrial equipment, chemical tanks, machinery, and surfaces to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with regulatory sanitation standards. The Venturi mixing technology of these stations allows them to effectively replace industrial hose stations because this design delivers high-pressure, high-temperature water safely, quickly, quietly, and on demand with minimal water hammer and operational failures.


How does the STVM Washdown Station work?

Operation begins when interlocked levers open the steam and cold water ball valves, allowing cold water into the upper chamber and steam into the lower chamber of the STVM Mixing Valve. Inside, the STVM Cartridge's spool feature allows the cold to enter the cartridge through small holes, while steam condenses into droplets and passes through even smaller holes. Then, the STVM Cartridge proportionately mixes the cold water and steam, producing a steady stream of hot water. A self-operating thermal actuator maintains the Operating Set Point (OSP) of the unit (typically 150–185°F) by reducing steam flow if it exceeds the OSP and fully shutting it off if the temperature rises more than 15°F above the OSP.

What Material would be the best choice for your stvm selection?
