Fraud Alert: Cooney Brothers Impersonation
Cooney Brothers has learned that individuals are fraudulently using our company name, employee names, and business information to request quotes, apply for credit, and place orders with other businesses.
These requests are not from Cooney Brothers.
How to recognize fraudulent requests:
- Fake email domains. All legitimate Cooney Brothers email comes only from @cooneybrothers.com. We are not affiliated with cooneybrothersllc.com or any other similar domain.
- Unusual shipping instructions. Requests to ship to addresses that are not a Cooney Brothers location, especially residential addresses, freight forwarders, or out-of-state locations
- Products outside our business. We are a pipe, valve, and fittings distributor. Requests for unrelated products (for example, tires, electronics, or office equipment) are a red flag
- New credit applications. Cooney Brothers will not apply for credit with your company through an unfamiliar contact or email address.
