Kunkle Model 6021 Safety Relief Valves

The Kunkle 6021 Safety Relief Valves are designed for steam use with boilers and generators as well as steam pressure vessels on pressure reducing stations. These Bronze Safety Relief Valves are made with a Teflon® (PFA) disc insert which indicates how these valves are recommended for steam services specifically. The disc is a grooved piston type that reduces sliding area and friction, and the pivot between the disc and spring corrects misalignment and compensates for spring side thrust.

We  offer our customers a large variety of Model 6021 Safety Relief Valves, available from ½” x ¾” to 2” x 2-½” in nominal size. They have MNPT x FNPT (inlet x outlet) ends with a set pressure range of 3 PSIG to 250 PSIG and a maximum allowable temperature range of -60°F to 406°F. Kunkle 6021 Safety Valves have dual control rings that offer easy adjustability for precise opening with minimum pre-open or simmer and exact blowdown control. Their seats are lapped to optical flatness, and they are made with heavy duty casting as well as a heavy duty lift lever assembly. The wide hex on the valve nozzle of the 6021 provides clearance for easy installation and O-ring seats may be available for exceptional leak-free performance, reduced maintenance costs, multiple cycles with tight shutoff and improved seating integrity.

Following the model number, the name of each 6021 Safety Relief Valve contains two letters. The first letters (D, E, F, G, H, and J) represent the orifice size, and the second letters (C, D, E, F, G, H, and J) represent the inlet size. By inlet size, this product line includes:
