Gruvlok Grade EP Gaskets

Gruvlok Grade EP Gaskets are go-to pipe-fitting gaskets because their optimal gasket grading capabilities ensure a maximum service life. When properly insulated, their inclined gasket lips are compressed tightly onto the pipe OD, forming a leak-proof seal. This seal is further reinforced when coupling housings encompass and compress the gasket as well as when the force of internal line pressure is introduced to energize the elastometric gasket.

Cooney Brothers is proud to offer an array of Gruvlok EP Gaskets from 2” to 8” in size. These gaskets are considered “standard”, and they are made from EPDM material with green and red color coding. They are rated for use with Figure 74 Couplings and within a -40 to 250 degree Fahrenheit temperature range. 

Grade EP Gaskets are intended for use with specific applications that require a tight seal and excellent oxidation resistance, but don’t involve hydrocarbons, oils, or gases. These applications include water service, dilute acids, alkalies solutions, oil-free air, salts, and many other chemical services.
