Spirax Sarco BT Series Y-Strainers

Spirax Sarco BT Y Strainers are high efficiency, y-shaped steam strainers, designed to remove solid particles and reduce contamination within a steam supply. They are essential components for maintaining the quality of steam in a variety of applications. Spirax Sarco BT Series Y Strainers allow for a maximum of 250 PSIG saturated steam pressure and a maximum temperature of 406° F. They are often installed before and/or after critical components like steam traps, control valves, or separators.

Being an authorized distributor of Spirax Sarco, Cooney Brothers is proud to offer our customers a wide variety of Spirax BT Y-Strainers. Made from Bronze, these strainers come with a 304 Stainless Steel #20 mesh standard screen, but #60 mesh screens are also available, and #100 mesh screens may be available upon request. These BT Wye Stainers are available from ¼" to 3" in nominal size with female-threaded end connections. Sizes ⅜” to 2” use a bushing within their design while sizes 2½” and 3” use a cap, cap gasket, and cap screws.

Spare parts for Spirax Sarco BT Y-Type Stainers are available such as blow-off bushing/caps, pipe plugs, screens, and more pipe strainer accessories. The Spirax Sarco BT Wye Strainer should be positioned in a vertical down or horizontal piping configuration with the flow direction as indicated on the body. The strainer must be accessible for periodic removal of accumulated debris by blowing down or removing and cleaning the screen.
