Kunkle Model 6182 Safety Relief Valves

Kunkle 6182 Safety Relief Valves are meticulously engineered with a top outlet and full nozzle design, complemented by a heavy-duty casting and Brass/Bronze trim for exceptional durability. The wide hex on the valve nozzle of these Bronze Safety Relief Valves provides clearance for easy installation. These valves are suitable for use with steam, air and gas applications like steam boilers and generators, reciprocating or rotary, portable or stationary air/gas compressors, intercoolers and aftercoolers as well as for pressure vessels containing air or non-hazardous gas and on pressure reducing stations.

They are available in sizes ranging from 1/2" to 2" and equipped with MNPT (inlet)10-25 x Top Outlet connections. Their set pressures range from 3 PSIG to 300 PSIG and the maximum temperature ranges from -60°F to 406°F. The Model 6182 is also designed with a heavy-duty lift assembly, lapped seats for optical flatness, and dual control rings that offer easy adjustability for precise opening with minimum pre-open or simmer and exact blowdown control. The disc is a grooved piston type that reduces sliding area and friction, and the pivot between it and spring corrects misalignment and spring side thrust. O-ring seats may be available with the Model 6282 for leak-free performances with multiple tight shutoff cycles and reduced maintenance costs.

Following the model number, the name of each 6021 Safety Relief Valve contains two letters. The first letters (D, E, F, G, H, and J) represent the orifice size, and the second letters (C, D, E, F, G, H, and J) represent the inlet size. Listed by inlet size, this product line includes:
