Kunkle Model 6010 Safety Relief Valves

Kunkle 6010 Safety Relief Valves are designed with a side outlet and full nozzle as well as a heavy-duty lift lever assembly and casting. These Bronze Safety Relief Valves are built for steam, air, and gas services, including use with steam boilers and generators, reciprocating or rotary, portable or stationary air/gas compressors, intercoolers and aftercoolers. They can also work well with pressure vessels containing steam, air or non-hazardous gas and on pressure-reducing stations.

They are available in nominal sizes ranging from ½” x ¾” to 2-1/2” x 2-1/2” with MNPT x FNPT (inlet x outlet) ends. Their set pressure ranges from 3 PSIG to 300 PSIG and the maximum temperature ranges from -60°F to 406°F. Kunkle 6010 Safety Valves are available with an EPR O-Ring or a Bronze/Brass seat that is lapped to optical flatness. O-Ring seats can provide leak-free performances with less maintenance, improved seating integrity, and multiple tight shut-off cycles. These valves have dual control rings with easy adjustability for precise opening with minimal pre-open or simmer and blowdown control. The pivot between the disc and spring corrects misalignment and compensates for spring side thrust.

Following the model number, the name of each 6010 Safety Relief Valve include two letters. The first letter (D, E, F, G, H, and J) represents the orifice size, and the second letter (C, D, E, F, G, H, and J) represents the inlet size. Listed by inlet size, this product line includes:

Model 6010 Relief Valves efficiently work with Air/Gas ASME Section VIII, Steam ASME Section I, and Steam, Non-Code services. Steam services can operate up to 250 PSI while air/gas services can operate up to 300 PSIG. These valves are tested and inspected for pressure settings and leakage.
