Kunkle Model 548 Safety Relief Valves

The Kunkle 548 Safety Relief Valves are air/gas safety relief valves, suitable for use on small to medium size single and multi-stage air compressors, intercoolers, aftercoolers, instrument/control air lines and systems. They can also be used on air tanks/receivers and pressurized equipment. These Brass Safety Relief Valves are well suited for Air/Gas ASME Section VIII and Air/Gas, Non-Code services.

Cooney Brothers is proud to be an authorized distributor of Kunkle Safety Relief Valves. We provide our customers with a wide range of Model 548 Safety Relief Valves, made from Brass with a Stainless Steel ball seat, spring, and lift ring. They are ½” in nominal size with MNPT end connections. The set pressure range is available from 3 PSIG to 400 PSIG and the allowable temperature ranges from -60° to 400°F. 

The name of each 548 Safety Relief Valve includes letters A and C to indicate the two different inlet sizes of the valve. This product line includes:

• Kunkle 0537A01 Safety Relief Valves (¼” inlet size)
• Kunkle 0537C01 Safety Relief Valves (½” inlet size)

Model 548 Safety Valves are considered high capacity with small size, and they have a top guided disc and manual lift ring. Rigorous testing and inspection ensure that these valves have accurate pressure settings and minimal leakage.
