The Mighty-Mate series of submersible pumps is designed for use in residential or light commercial dewatering applications and can be used to transfer groundwater or effluent. Cast iron models include a epoxy powder coated finish to prevent corrosion and are designed to provide great heat dissipation from the motor, ensuring a long service life. As with every Zoeller® pump, each one is 100% pressure-tested, submerged and run to ensure quality and reliability for years of trouble-free performance. The fully automatic Zoeller Model M53 Sump Pump is engineered for the efficient removal of unwanted groundwater in basement sump applications. The 3/10 HP M53—also known as the “Mighty-Mate”—comes standard with the Zoeller LED plug, and it is a proven and dependable automatic solution. Its operation is controlled by a solid, white polypropylene float that remains permanently buoyant, ensuring reliable activation of the pump when needed. Designed with a vortex-style, smooth-surface impeller, the M53 can handle 2″ spherical solids with ease and allows solids to pass through the pump. Constructed for durability, its switch case, motor housing, and pump housing are all made of rugged cast iron and its dentification tag, float guard, handle, switch arm, and hardware are made of non-corrodible stainless steel, making the Model 53 ideal for even the most demanding basement applications. The Zoeller 53-0001 includes a 9 ft cord.
