Spirax Sarco TP2 Truncated Conical Temporary Strainers

The Spirax Sarco TP2 Conical Temporary Strainer is a truncated, cone-shaped temporary strainer that is designed to protect equipment and instrumentation from debris during commission and start-up periods. The TP2 Strainers are similar to the TP1 Conical Strainers, but they feature a truncated end instead of a full cone. These 304L Stainless Steel Strainers are meant to be installed between ANSI 150, ANSI 300, and ANSI 600 flanges. They suit a wide variety of fluids for applications like process lines, hot water systems, steam, condensate systems, and more. 

Cooney Brothers is proud to be an authorized distributor of Spirax Sarco. We provide our customers with a broad range of TP2 Conical Temporary Strainers. They are available from 1-1/2" to 28" in nominal size and their standard configuration is made from 304L Stainless Steel with 3 mm perforations. 1.6 mm and 6 mm perforations may be available in 304L and 316L Stainless Steel upon request. 40 Mesh (M40), 100 Mesh (M100), and 200 Mesh (M200) configurations may also be available in 304L and 316L. TP2 Truncated Cone Shaped Temporary Strainers are designed with a 304L Stainless Steel collar, screen, and mesh lining for finer straining capabilities.

Temporary strainers are not intended for permanent use, so after commissioning and start-up, the temporary strainer should be removed from the pipeline and replaced with a spacer ring. The spacer ring handle is painted blue to differentiate it from a temporary strainer. Installing a spool piece that is equal to, or more than the length of the strainer is recommended for easy installation or removal.
