The EFX-13 Solenoid Valve Caddy is a solenoid replacement for BASYS EFX low height capacitance faucets. For Low-height BASYS faucets only, the EFX-300, EFX-350, EFX-600, and EFX-650 are available as either capacitance or IR sensor. This solenoid caddy is usable only with capacitance style activation for faucets. . The EFX-13 Solenoid Valve Caddy is intended for capacitance faucets that are 0.5 gallons per minute. The solenoid is green, which indicates 0.5 gallons per minute. This coloration is consistent across all product lines for the flow rate. Solenoid can be inserted into the faucet from above the deck, twisting the solenoid for removal shuts off water to the faucet for simplified and easy maintenance. An IR sensor is a type of sensor that detects the presence of an object or a person using infrared light. When an object or person comes close to the sensor, the IR light is reflected back to the sensor, which triggers the faucet to turn on the water flow. In contrast, capacitance activation is a type of sensor that detects changes in capacitance or the electrical charge of an object. The capacitance sensor detects the change in capacitance when the users hand is near the faucet and triggers water flow.
